I teach creative and expressive writing through the Veterans Writing Project, the non-profit I founded in 2011. We use a craft-based curriculum I wrote called Writing War: A Guide to Telling Your Own Story. And we publish the literary journal O-Dark-Thirty. We’ve presented our no-cost workshops in 25 states and had more than 3600 people come through our programs.

I’ve just started facilitating songwriting workshops through Soldier Songs and Voices. SSV is a great organization run by Dustin Welch and Phoebe Hunt. I attended one of their workshops in Texas and decided to open up a chapter in Maine. We meet every other Tuesday at The Peace Gallery in Damariscotta, ME.
